there are number of big brands who do animal testing.. they use rabbits… 50% of the animals die from testing. many of them hav yellow eyes, shedding fur and skin problem. i am not posting the picture, its too disgusting. but. why these animals suffer? they dun hav a choice, poor animals.. if you love your life, respect others’ life and stop using brands that do animal testing! stop the cruelty! (now u notice the following brands that done these sick things, stop buying from them! please… i notice i have 3 sally hansen’s product sitting on my desk right in front of me now and i swear i will not buy their stuff ever again!)

One of the products I tried from Weleda recently is Skin Food. I really like Skin Food. It is a thick yellow lotion that smells citrusy and get absorbed fast. I heard that the more yellow the lotion is, the more natural ingredients it has. So, does that mean Skin Food has alot of natural nutrients in it? It feels like it. It says on the box that it will leave a thin oily film on face, but it is not oily at all. It is very moisturizing. I apply it at night after washing my face. I really like its’ thickness, and the smell, and the moisturizing effect. The best thing is that it is NATURAL, and with a reasonable price at no more than $20 CAD!

Long time no update! I’m too lazy! I went to las vegas in the beginning of January. I had a happy time there. It was my first time at sephora too. I bought a new sunscreen by Juice Beauty.

It is a tinted sunscreen with SPF30. Tinted means it has a tint of color but it is not obvious. The smell is kind of werid, but I got use to it. I mix it with my dr. hauschka sunscreen together and apply to my face everytime I go out. It will leave shine on my face, so I apply a thin layer of loose powder on top which gives me a semi-matte finish. I love the mix result from the two sunscreen! Very natural, moisturizing + protective

My experience:
- just like an ordinary (chemical) shampoo, did nothing special
- smell is quite special, abit similar to the smell of jurlique’s deep penetrating masque, to the orange scents
- does not volumize at all, but does keep fly away down

I am quite dissapointed about this shampoo, since alot of stars recommend this brand and I cannot resist to try it eventhough its a plain chemical product. I think it will work fine for people who have healthy thick hair and want to have more manageable hair. This product definitely has no good to people who have fine and limp hair like me.

Essential oils are sold in its highly concentrated form, and they can create negative effects when used directly on the skin without having them dilluted. Diluting essential oil means to make it less concentrated, usually people dilute essential oil into base oil or other forms such as shampoo, soap, floral water, etc.

A week ago, my dad told me that his scalp is very very itcy, he also had hair flakes. He asked me to massage some kind of anti-itchy cream into his scalp, and so I did. I was surprised that I saw red patches all over his head so I thought he was probably scalp sensitive to something, or his scalp was too dry, or he was too stressful. One thing I’m sure was that his scalp condition must be very unhealthy. He was using Pantene, and some other shampoos he got in China that claimed to be anti-flakes. I asked him to try the shampoo i’m using right now and he also did take my suggestion. He had used it for 3 days only, and the red patches and itchy-ness were all gone! Wow, the moment he told me I thought the power nature gives us is.. amazing.

I used to make my own shampoo, but not anymore. It is because natural shampoo bases are very basic which would cause hair and scalp dryness. Now, I have chosen a shampoo that claims to contain egg yolk and rum (refer to beauty kit). I added the right amount of essential oils into my shampoo (including Rosemary, basil, Sage). It’s this easy and simple.

Base cream is always used before applying foundation and after sunscreen, strictly speaking. Its purpose is to lighten up our skintone so to maximize the effects of the look with foundation. There are base creams with different color in the market. Each color is specially designed for consumers with different skin tones.

Blue or Green-based:
for those who have very thin skin that is without much dead skin cells, and skin often looks pink or red

Pink-based:
for those who have very pale skin tone (without blush or warmness)

Purple-based:
for thoes who have yellow skin tone that is grayish and dark (not bright)

Orange-based:
for those who wants to have a tinned bright on their face

Now in the market, there are alot of different types of base creams (not just the color). There are base cream with sunblock in it, with oil-control ingredients, with pearl shines, etc.

Many people thought base cream is used as a protective layer from separating the skin and the make-up, yet I believe anything we put on our face is absorbed into the skin layers to our inner body. Base cream is a type of make-up itself, so is sunscreen with high SPF or PA value. So, I always prefer a sunscreen cream that is made with natural ingredients, such as the one I’m using (Dr. Hauschka). It is in a yellowish color due to the minerals and the oils in its ingredient list, but then I think I need a purple myself.

I have had this skin disorder since I was in middle school. This skin disorder greatly affect my confidence level as well as my point of view towards outlook. Now, I think I have a positive attitude towards how I look with keratosis pilaris, I mean at least I won’t be upset with my bumps. Both my family doctor and the dermatologist told me that this can only be improved with lotions related to AHA, etc. They told me that this condition cannot be fully cured. But to now, I still have hope in finding a way to cure this problem.

Bikram’s yoga 26 postures are practiced in a heated room. It is great for sweating and toning up the body. I doubt that it makes you lose weight thou. But, it makes you feel less tired and defnitely improves blood circulation. For the first week, I’ve went for 5 days. Each class lasts for 1.5 hrs. I think yoga everyday is too much for me, but each class is enjoyable. Ooh, one thing to be careful is if you have back and neck pain like I do, you must be careful of the back and twist stretches. Also, always use cold water to wash your face immediately after the class cuz the heat do really open up your pores.
